Good day, ladies and gents. Hope everybody is doing well.
I've got some interesting news to share. Right now I'm currently considering doing some commission work. Right now, I'm having a few issues involving finances. Don't be alarmed though, I'm fine sustainability-wise. But, when it comes to my commissioning, which supplies my artistic output, it may take a hit for an undisclosed period of time. But, that's why I'm doing this. Hopefully if I do some commission work, I can supplement for the time being and use the income from it to continue making commissions to other artists.
That's why I'm asking for your help. I'm currently working out a payment system, and need some thoughts and/or suggestions to help this along.
Please note: I am NOT an artist. Just a colourist. To commission, you need to have at the very least a sketch available for me to work from.
how things work:
1) I will do both SFW and NSFW (To some extent.)
2) I have the right to decline a commission if I don't feel comfortable doing it.
3) If I accept your commission, payment will not be required immediately. Once the commission is completed, a watermarked preview will be sent to you in case there's any desired changes. If the preview is approved, the payment transaction will then happen. Once the payment is sent, you will receive your picture.
4) Payment is through PayPal only. I will not accept points.
Lineart: If you provide a sketch, I can do the lineart for it.
Base Price: $5 USD
Additional characters: $2.50 USD
Flats: Flat colouring for your sketch or lineart.
Base Price: $10 USD ($7 USD for sketch colouring.)
Additional Characters: $5 ($3 for sketch colouring.)
Basic Shading: Basic lighting/shading effects.
Base Price: $15 USD
Additional Characters: $7 USD
Full Render: Detailed shading/lighting effects.
Base Price: $20 USD
Additional Characters: $10 USD
Prices for backgrounds on all tiers will vary depending on size and complexity.
REDUCED PRICE SYSTEM
Here's where things get a little different. While some of you may bring sketches, others may bring pics with completed lineart or flats. In the event that happens, the price of the commission will be reduced by the price of the provided tier. So, for example, if somebody provides a lineart pic that they want basic shading on, they will pay the basic shading price minus the equivalent lineart price.
So, do these prices sound fair? Do you like the reduced pricing system? feel free to let me know in the comments.
